Welcome to Milligan Transport Ltd
Milligan Transport is a family run company based in Mallaig on the West Coast of the Highlands of Scotland. Our speciality is the movement of freight, by road and by sea. Established as a fish haulier for 25 years, we diversified into sea going freight as the fish landings declined. Beginning with supplying the local Scottish Sea Farms site on Loch Nevis with fish feed, then general cargos to the Small Isles of Eigg, Muck, Rum and Canna, the Knoydart Peninsula, or anywhere inaccessible by road that would require the specialist services of our landing craft, “The Spanish John II”.

Our workboats can be used to transport many things including: cattle, building materials, vehicles and much more.
In recent years, we have further diversified with the addition of a further two workboats to the fleet; Lyrawa Bay and Vega De Lyra; providing an extensive range of services from mooring work to tv and film work to survey work to fish farm site work.
