The "Spanish John II" was built in 2003 by Alexander Noble & Sons of Girvan to replace the infamous and capable "Spanish John 1".

Lyrawa Bay is a 27 metre by 7 metre workboat with a 60 tonne deck cargo capacity and fuel delivery capability.
